  • 1985-1990: Study of chemistry at the Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
  • 1990: Diploma thesis with Prof. Dr. Drs. Hans Bock on "Structures of Charge Distorted π-Systems".
  • 1991-1994: Dissertation with Prof. Dr. Drs. Hans Bock on "Static Apsects of Molecular Self-Organisation from Single Crystal Structure Data".
  • 1994: Doctoral examination: "Summa Cum Laude".
