Dr. Stefan Permien won the faculty price for his doctoral thesis

"Dr. Stefan Permien promovierte an der Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät über Lithium-Ionen-Batterien, wie sie in Elektroautos eingesetzt werden. Insbesondere synthetisierte er Anoden aus neuen Materialien und überprüfte deren Leistungen. Der Titel seiner Arbeit, die durch Professor Wolfgang Bensch betreut wurde, lautet „Investigation of the reaction mechanisms during Li uptake and release of spinel oxide nanoparticles M''M'''FeO4 (M'' = Mn, Mg, Co, Ni, M''' = Mn, Fe) for application as anode materials in Lithium ion batteries“."
